The spread of some forms of breast cancer tumors may be treated by a diabetes drug that activates a protein found to decrease malignancy, a Canadian researcher says.
According to UPI.com, Chris Nicol of Queen's University in Ontario has been investigating a protein that helps maintain normal fat and sugar metabolism to treat Type II diabetes.
